Living Space
Living Space is a mixed-media project that explores concrete and its relationship with cities and communities.
With the decay of affordable social housing in Britain, many spaces lost their meaning. Areas and people lost touch with urban space.
In present-day London, there is even less room for people in the development process of the city. This project questions how can policymakers change this trend.
All the photographs were taken around East and South London.

The concrete alphabet not only tries to point out the huge issues caused by gentrification but functions as an artefact showing the low level of maintenance of many historic housing estates around the United Kingdom.
Each letter of the alphabet has its own unique cracks, features and shapes.
